sick joke i know, but did Suarez actually think he would get away with biting another player by saying sorry?
i think that teh 10 match ban is actually very lenient, he should be banned for life - domestic & international. he has done this before, had a 7 match ban and obviously not learned a thing.
he will do it again, just a matter of when
whether or not we agree, footballers have become role models, and what sort of example does he set?
a very bad one, at best

Behind closed door's?
With Millwall fans yet again bringing football to the headlines for the wrong reasons, should they ALL be banned.
At todays Wembley FA cup semi final the Millwall fans started fighting amongst themselves. Not with the Wigan fans, with each other.
And as if not bad enough that they were yet again fighting in the stands, there were families - CHILDREN - in the same stand. The TV coverage shows the children crying, yet the so called fans just kept on punching & abusing each other.
The police were a bit slow to react, surely by now they should never trust Millwall fans that much.
But, in my opinion, the fans aren't learning. So, they should all be banned, and games played without any Millwall fans - the opposing team fans should be allowed, but the Millwall end left empty - home and away games.
With their team not getting any support from the stands maybe they would finally start to listen and behave.

How woudl you rate 2nite's football match
is the MUFC V's Real Madrid match a clash of the titan's? The match the whole world will watch?
Or just a game?
What do you think?
I know what i think... it is the World!
But then again I am a life long Man Utd Fan, so that may cloud my view slightly haha
But, seriously, i can't wait. Even if i didn't support either side i woudl watch as it will be a fantastic game, at one of the top stadiums in the world, with 2 huge clubs full of amazing talent.
It is going to be a grt game to watch, some eye popping skill and breath stopping moments.
that is, so long as the referree and his assisstants are unbiased n strong enough to control the game, yet let it flow without constant stops.

Fifa - what a joke
FIFA needs to be completely over hauled, as they have lost all credability.
Corruption allegation, after corrucption allergantion... and all just swept under the carpet.
Sep Blatter will be voted in again, and this is the worst thing that could happen for football. He is to old, slow, corrupt and out of touch to help the modern game - I mean come on, how can he still be stalling on goal line technology? Yet insists on having officials that can't see anything or make a decision regardless of the teams / where they are playing. The extra officials on the goal line still aren't getting it right.
And as to the election, a cpl of days ago his main, and only, competitor for the presidency stands down amid teh corruption allegations, then 2 days later Blatter is cleared of ALL charges and is left as the only runner! Talk about a complete joke

football and violence
i love football, have done for many many years.
and it was so sad to see it sinking back into the days of old, back into the scenes we havent seen for a couple of decades.
yes, i am talking about the millwall - west ham game on tuesday night.
do we really need to be seeing scenes like that again? football has grown into a family game, like it should be, not a breeding fround for thugs and bullies.
to make it worse, it was the west ham (HOME) fans causing most of the problems and they won as well!

A legend has gone
What a real shame it is that Sir Bobby Robson has died, finally the cancer that he has been battling took him.
Here a REAL life legend has passed from out number's, yet despite all of his fantastic achievements at club and international level and NO major scandel's, you can pretty much guarantee that outside the football / sports world no-one will really care.
How is this far compared with the ludicrous amount of coverage that MJ got? Yes he gave great music to the world, but he was also a bit wierd and dogged with some very bad scandel's - what can be worse than what he was accused of with kids?
But Sir Booby also inspired people, accross the generations, with his personality, his drive and his dedication.
RIP to a real and great legend of a man, YOu will be missed for year's to come

Champions League
Well, the violence has started already. A United fan has been stabbed in Rome! What a surprise that its the Spanish starting the trouble.
But, the officials have asked the fans not to go without a ticket. But have only allocated 20,000 tickets to each of the sides. That won't even cover the season ticket holders that will want to b there, let alone the rest of the fans. So what did they expect?

Liverpool V West Brom
Well, I was a neutral watching the match today, and would have to say that Liverpool may have the two goals and be the winner's but West Brom deserved the win.
They played with much more desire, more fire, more passion. Yes, they needed to win to have any chance of staying in the premiership. But Liverpool could have lost 2nd place to Chelsea, yet you woudl never have known it.
So well done Liverpool, but comisserations to West Brom. You played your hearts out and tried, tried and tried again.

Champions League
Chelsea V Barcalona..
What an great game, and what a way to end it! Barca scoring in extra time to book their place in the final against man utd!
Going to be good, and although they were out how did Drogba and Co get away with their behaviour at the end. Fot crowding, abusing and pulling on the ref they should have been given RED cards, not a solitary yellow for Drogba. And EUFA should be charging them under the discipline code, or it's a mockery.

great day
had a great day today, the weather has been amazing, wonderful warm sunshine.
Topped of by a great football match, much better than the chelsea - barca match last night.
And of course this one does mean that we will have at least ONE english team in the champions league final again this year.
Question is... who is going through?
Chelsea or Barcalona?
Man U or Arsenal?
Your thoughts?
